I never want this to be a newsletter that’s primarily self-promo for my books. That stuff gets to coexist with my thoughts on life and books and whatever else, my advice on writing and publishing, etc., recommendations for snacks and podcasts and books, and pet photos of course.

What’s the paid situation?

This standard newsletter will always remain free, and that’s where my writing and publishing advice will always live. I have just had readers and others ask me over the years how to best support writers, and paying for this newsletter is one small way. IF YOU WANT TO AND WERE GOING TO ANYWAY. No pressure! But every other week I write a little more personal off-the-top-of-my-head piece about whatever I’m thinking about that week. It’s a fun place to get into things that don’t quite fit anywhere else, longer than social media but shorter than a full-blown essay. I super appreciate my paid subscribers!
