I love my clothes and I miss long sleeves.
Dear Readers,
I have a habit of complaining about summer. Hating summer is basically part of my personality at this point, and from months June through October (OR NOVEMBER???) it becomes MY ONLY PERSONALITY.
I don’t like being hot. I don’t like the sun baking me. I don’t like things melting in my car (or in my shower!). I don’t like talking about this so much! But I can’t stop!
It’ll be fall soon, though (no jinxing!), and I can’t wait. I love crisp air. I love fall flavors. Most of all, I love dressing for fall. Summer is limiting; there are colors and textures that are wrong for it. There are items that just don’t breathe. Forget about layers, WHICH I LOVE.
It is weird for me to remember that at one point I was not super into clothes, at least as far as clothes I wore. This is because, for all the existing and valid complaint about plus size clothes right now, things are a million times better than they were. I can’t even begin to exclaim how much better they are. For example, the sheer fact that now I spend too much of my budget on clothing AND RESTRAIN FROM DOING EVEN MORE DAMAGE and actually have DAMAGED MULTIPLE COMPONENTS OF MY CLOSET FOR IT IS SIMPLY TOO FULL would not have even been possible before. Not even close!
