Fave Seasons & Such
Dear Readers,
What a year! I know, it’s not over yet. There’s so much that could still happen. Remember that person on Twitter would do all the new verses for We Didn’t Start the Fire? Anyway I think of that person a lot. I also don’t NOT listen to We Didn’t Start the Fire a lot, a song which is somehow both a banger and terrible. How am I still in the first paragraph and somehow already rambling about a Billy Joel song? What is happening? Am I OK? Are you OK? Are any of us OK? Probably Billy Joel, though I don’t make it a habit to keep up on his situations.
For my dayjob it is FYC season so I am busy and also lots of it I can’t control. A bunch of our films just ended up on the shortlist, which is good but also means more work/more stress/etc. But I do love it.
The glamorous stuff is all happening but also remember there are nerds using Excel behind the scenes making things happen as well. I love Excel and I love movies, and this year in particular I get to work on some things that I honestly genuinely really love AND HAVE SOME REAL SHOTS AT SOME BIG TROPHIES so it makes it exciting.
(AMY IS THIS WHY YOU TALK SO MUCH* ABOUT AWARDS RACES IN YOUR BOOKS yeah probably what of it!!!!! Aren’t you glad I don’t do media planning for like a tile company and everyone in my books is just obsessed with tiles OK)
I am also finalizing the first round of edits of Out in Hollywood/Preposition Her Noun #4 and seeing the light at the end of this tunnel** but it’s another thing to juggle while I am also trying to, you know, have a holiday season! Be merry! Relax! Plan my Christmas meal!! ENJOY THE SEASON??

It’s true! Please come out and see me in February and March! Seeing people in person is one of my very favorite parts about writing books, and I truly CANNOT WAIT! Way more about this soon!
